Sheila CallahamChasing your dreams is serious business. I know because I’m a life-long dream chaser. To be honest, for the most part, I’ve been a dream considerer. You know what I mean, day dreaming about the what ifs, but not taking action to set myself on the course of manifesting the desire. It’s such an easy place to be, wishfulness without investment. Totally safe. Don’t go out on a limb, can’t fall out of the tree, right?

It’s only been the last five years that I’ve amped up the dream-longing to dream chasing. Warning: it’s addictive! Once I started putting myself out there and achieving results, I realized I was the only one standing in my way. Once I started living my dreams, chasing them felt much less intimidating.

During these years of focused dream-chasing, I’ve shared my experiences and feelings through my blog. In the process, I’ve also found a voice — one of nurturing the dreams of others.

My coaching voice has different ranges that kick in depending on client need. There’s the maternal voice of encouragement, the tough kick-your-ass-if-you-need-it coach reminding you that only YOU decide how to live your life, and the practical, even-keeled prodder asking the tough questions that make you go “Humph” but then leave you with the recognition of what could come next for you if only you take the first step.

I didn’t set out to be a motivational coach; I set out to be a writer. I trained as a coach so that I would learn the tools and techniques to keep myself on track! But the more I wrote and published, the more people asked me for advice. And as I began working with clients (a requirement of the year-long coaching program I had enrolled in) the more I realized that I have a gift for inspiring others!

One of my most successful group offerings was a course I created several years ago called “Write Your Book.” In this four-class teleseries, I took participants through the process of writing and publishing a book. Tons of information in just four, seventy-five-minute classes, but it was just what they needed to get started with confidence. Many of them jumped right into their book, while others came back for one-on-one consulting.

Which is why I’m excited to announce that I’ve revamped this course to make it even more impactful. I’ll be sharing the details for enrollment in January 2016, but if you’ve ever wanted to write a book, why don’t you subscribe now to my newsletter, so you don’t miss out on the opportunity!

As this year brings itself to a close, I’m considering what’s next. I’m asking myself how I can make the biggest impact in the world. I’m making space for new dreams to chase in the year to come.

Won’t you join me and commit to live your dreams in 2016?

Are you giving yourself permission to dream big? Real big?

Are you willing to take the first step to making your dreams a reality?
